Another thing Star Wars did for me was to start me on my love of collecting.
My Dad bought me every Star Wars figure there was when I was kid. I made
alien worlds in my closet and would set up all my figures and play for
hours.
Star Wars made me the man I am today, it set
me on this path of geeky goodness and I wouldn't want it any other way.
Star Wars has a special place in my heart.
This movie made me fall in love with Science Fiction and Fantasy. I
remember being a six/seven year old boy and watching these space ships
shootting lasers at each other while flying through space. Then this big
black capped man came walking through a blasted door with this strange
voice. There was nothing like it before and I haven't seen anything like it
since. Of course there have been many great sci fi fantasy TV and movies
and I love them all, but none of them have every given me the same feeling
that Star Wars did back when I was a kid. I can remember reenacting famous
scenes from Star Wars, like R2 and 3PO crossing the hallway during a laser
fight. Or Luke and Leia swinging across the missing bridge. So many great
memories.
